We are seeking a creative and energetic self-starter for the role of Communications Coordinator.
We are a rapidly growing home improvement franchise with 85 franchise locations throughout the USA and Canada, and are regularly recognized as a top brand in Franchise Owner satisfaction. While The Glass Guru brand is headquartered in Plano, TX, our franchisor team works in a hybrid-workplace with team members working from our Texas headquarters, and others from home in locations as far away as California.
Position Overview
The Communications Coordinator is an administrative role that supports the Marketing and Communications teams in executing and monitoring communications strategies. The role involves assisting in the creation of public relations and marketing materials including, but not limited to:
Email Marketing Campaigns
Press Releases
Blog Posts
Intranet Posts
Social Media Posts
Brochures & Print
Website(s) Copy
PowerPoint / Google Slides decks
In addition to writing content directly, the job responsibilities will also include proofing and/or editing copy from other Internal team contributors, as well as 3rd-party writers. The Communication Coordinator maintains the brands editorial calendar for multiple channels, and assists in the project management of ad-hoc & recurring communications projects, including maintaining project management software. You would also perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety, as well as build and maintain our list of PR contacts.

Capable of working independently and and part of a team
Is capable of creating and maintaining a network of PR contacts
Exhibits proficiency in word processor (Google Docs and/or MS Word), spreadsheet (Google Sheets and/or MS Excel) and other organizational software
Is capable of thinking creatively and analytically
Manages time efficiently
Capable of producing and presenting communications-specific analytics to management

Qualifying individuals must meet the following criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Creative Writing, or Journalism
Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
Have a minimum of 2-3 years of working experience while in the marketing or communications sector
