Responsibilities of a Lead Teacher include the following:

Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment

Supporting each child’s social and emotional development

Establishing positive and effective family relations

Working to lead the establishment of effective classroom systems, routines and instruction

Ability to multi-task, work cooperatively and manage challenges professionally

Ability to learn and implement Goddard curriculum and assessment systems

Ability to change diapers, and/or assist with toileting needs (where necessary)

Complete required trainings for the State of Tennessee and Goddard

Meet background check eligibility and additional state requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma required by the state of Tennessee

Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred by Goddard

Shows empathy and compassion for young children

Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
