    The Goddard School® located in South Loop, Chicago is looking for a motivated, self-starter for a Director position at our School. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    The director's responsibilities include the following: • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and our employees by creating an environment of trust, support and understanding that’s easily relatable to diversified group of people. • Feel sense of ownership of entire school to run the institution smoothly. • Be extremely driven, resilient, have a great positive attitude and create a collaborative culture in the organization. • Ensure that the Centre maintains all health/safety standard operating procedures always in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations and the Educational Quality Standards set forth by the Franchise. • Always ensure a fully staffed Centre with high performing teachers by actively leading recruiting process and creating motivating learning opportunities for teachers. • Will be actively sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees. • Ensure optimal business performance by focusing on retention of existing families, conversion and enrolment of new families. • Actively engages with interested prospective families by conducting in person Tours, following up with leads and toured families until enrolled, onboarding these new families until they are matured and settled. • Willingness to work longer hours based on school’s needs, responding proactively to staffing needs, enthusiastic about hosting open houses during and after business hours to create families and local community engagement. • Creating a wonderful environment at the Centre by engaging in celebrations, special occasions, charitable initiatives, festive themes, multi-cultural activities, community engagement and school wide decorations. • Expected to proactively make classroom and school level observations on regular basis and identify improvement areas proactively, follow through those improvements, creating a successful and happy learning environment for children, families and staff. • This person should have ability to have difficult conversations in a professional setting with staff and families. • Must be motivated to get any facility maintenance issues fixed by seeking right resources, coordinating maintenance people in a timely manner in reasonable budgets. • Willingness to excel in Social Media marketing, if needed self-train in all the skills needed to run a successful millennial business. • Must act as an effective Liaison between the school and the franchisor resources • At Goddard School, we expect professional level documentation of all conversations with staff and families and following through action items promptly.

    Apply Now If You: • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • An inspirational leader and team builder • Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrolment • Organized and able to multitask and strategically resolves challenges, and has a great positive attitude • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement of self and of the entire staff • 3+ years of centre leadership/management experience in high performing centre. • 21 credits in early childhood education as required by IL • Ability to train and mentor the management team and Lead Teachers within market on delivering curriculum and exceeding KPI's. • Have state specific Administrative or Director credential, and any other state specific guidelines for the role. • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations. • Must meet all applicable background screening or state licensing requirements for the role. • Must have City of Chicago Food Manager Certification or be willing to get one before start date.

    Job Type: Full-time Salary: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Working Days : Monday to Friday Work Location: South Loop, Chicago
