Responsibilities of a Bus Driver include the following:

Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment

Supporting each child’s social and emotional development

Establishing positive and effective family relations

Working with the classroom teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty

Requirements:

Part-time 16-20+ hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Part-year position that runs for 9 ½ months during our school year

training would be available for a candidate

Will drive school-age children (age 5-12) twice per day, once for drop off in the morning and another for pick-up in the afternoon.

The bus driver must have a passing grade in the school driving test upon hire and have a clean driving record for the past 3 years.

Route is expected to take about 60 minutes, but is subject to adjustment based on enrollment.

The bus is a short 16 max capacity bus.

Shows empathy and compassion for young children

Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
