    The Goddard School, Snoqualmie: Seeking Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Program Support across all classrooms (FT and PT Positions Available)!

    The Goddard School is a leader in the childcare industry and provides high-quality early childhood education to children 6 weeks to 6 years. We believe in education and fun! We are looking for candidates with excellent experience and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility in the classroom. (Candidates applying for Full-Time positions must be flexible and able to work an eight-hour shift between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm.)

    We provide a thorough orientation process to introduce you to our program and foster all our employees' continuing education. Our program will pair you with a dedicated Lead/Assistant Teacher to support you in the classroom and we have also invested heavily in technology to aid Teachers in writing and executing curriculum as well as communicating efficiently and effectively with parents.

    Lead Teachers Requirements and Responsibilities:

    • CDA, AA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 18 ECE credits (or equivalent)

    • Plan for and write daily curriculum based on Washington State’s Early Learning Standards & Guidelines

    • Responsible for the overall day-to-day class management

    • Work to improve quality and consistency of care for all children enrolled in the class

    • Meet the school's requirements spanning quality assurance, curriculum, and activities

    • Comply with all state and local regulations as well as The Goddard School’s Health & Safety standards (quality assurance)

    • Update class decorations and maintain child portfolios and continuous child assessments

    • Ability to work with faculty and children from a variety of backgrounds and cultures; promotes diversity in the classroom

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 25 pounds

    • Current and cleared TB test by first day of employment

    • Proof of MMR immunization by first day of employment

    • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, Blood-borne Pathogens certification within first 90 days

    • Clean background check and good references (at least one supervisory reference required)

    • STARS/MERIT participation per state guidelines

    • Applicants should be patient, courteous and professional with the children, parents and co-workers

    Assistant Teachers and Program Support Staff

    Requirements and Responsibilities:

    • Experience with and a love of working with young children

    • Ability to work effectively as a team with a Lead Teacher

    • Help to execute the curriculum designed by the Lead Teacher

    • Responsible for the overall class management if a Lead Teacher is absent

    • Work to improve quality and consistency of care for all children enrolled in the class

    • Meet the school's requirements spanning quality assurance, curriculum, and activities

    • Comply with all state and local regulations as well as The Goddard School’s Health and safety standards (quality assurance)

    • Update class decorations, maintain child portfolios and attendance logs

    • Ability to work with faculty and children from a variety of backgrounds and cultures; promotes diversity in the classroom
