The Good Feet Store is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our dynamic, supportive leadership team in the Des Moines, IA area. As the COO, you will play a critical role in the company's growth and success. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO has ultimate responsibility for building and driving the organization's operational functions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
Supervise the District Manager Team to include, but not limited to; staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution
Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management and retention
Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
Monitor and analyze key performance indictors and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts
Mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
Lead the company wide sales team following The Good Feet sales practice and best practices.
Work within the organization and build relationships with operational leadership to ensure successful customer experience
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Five or more years of experience in executive leadership
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
Ability to travel as much as 35%-45%
