The Good Feet Store - LRG Investments Group is seeking an Assistant Controller to add to our office staff in the Des Moines area. We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience in financial analysis, accounting, and payroll processing. As the Assistant Controller, you will be right hand to the Controller, assisting with financial analysis, including analyzing profit and loss and cash flow statements, as well as preparing reconciliations and processing payroll.

What You'll Do

Developing and maintaining financial models, preparing financial reports and providing analysis to support decision-making forecasting when needed.

Analyzes financial results, financial performance and operating impact.

Prepares comparisons of financial results across periods and/or between stores and identifies opportunities of improvement for profit.

Leads and directs monthly forecasting of future results with the operations teams

Utilizes benchmarking and comparisons to evaluate store performance

Preparing reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts and other financial data

Identifying opportunities for process improvement and/or internal control enhancements

Assisting with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to financial reporting and analysis, as assigned

Oversee complete processing and auditing of bi-weekly payroll, including payments of child support and garnishments

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience

1-2 years of experience with payroll processing

3-5 years of experience in accounting

5 years of financial analysis experience
