Collection Support/AR Clerk to work in Melville, NY for a well know Medical Company. Will be process payments received from patients and Third parties for both inpatient and outpatient accounts. Prepare and maintain cash reports and various other reports necessary for the analysis of the accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Post all cash received to the computer system.
- Prepare bank deposits for field reps.
- Process the necessary transaction for checks returned as insufficient funds.
- Processing and printing live checks for daily bank deposits.
- Correctly interpret insurance explanation of benefits for the correct application of cash accounts receivable.
- Prepare back-ups and payment reports to be filled for storage.
- Run and spool cash reports
Skills and Education:
- Good understanding of computers.
- Knowledge of MS Office Applications.
- Ability and competence to operate a print/display calculator.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- High School diploma, College degree preferred.
- 1 year or relevant experience OR combination of education and experience.
