Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and division of property. Familiarly by Real Estate, Business and/or Tax Law if a plus. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! $90,000+ per year plus bonuses based on reaching KPIs Responsibilities: Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action Qualifications: Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Prior work in Real Estate, Business or Tax preferred • Comfortable with technology including case management software, automation software and project management software • At least 5 years working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary Compensation: $90,000+ per year plus bonuses
