    Job Description: Horticulture Team Leader

    The Team Leader position is one of the most important in our company. A Team Leader supervises and manages team members as they perform exceptional care to our customer’s properties. The Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead is primarily responsible for managing the execution of contracted landscape bed maintenance and turf care contracts. Secondary responsibilities include managing landscape cleanups in addition to other projects such as landscape, sod, and holiday lighting installations, and providing operational support wherever the company may need.

    Key Performance Responsibilities:

    · Effectively manage the job execution of 1-4 people performing the delivery of services to our customers.

    · Manage and perform landscape maintenance services which include: pulling weeds, spraying weeds, pruning shrubs & bushes, planting seasonals, installing mulch, applying fertilizer & preemergent herbicide, and more, to meet company quality standards.

    · Manage and perform other lawn & landscaping related duties as assigned based on company workflow.

    · Educate, motivate, coach and mentor their team.

    · Manage workflow according to the Lead Playbook.

    · Collaborate with the other Team Leaders to ensure all teams are working together to reach company goals and objectives.

    · Ensure proper production efficiencies (budgeted times) are met while striving to provide legendary customer service and job quality.

    · Ensure the team is working in a responsible and safe manner.

    · Accurately track time and submit reports of the team’s performance daily using a mobile device.

    · Capture photos of jobs and upload using a mobile device.

    · Manage equipment utilization to prevent abuse and unnecessary equipment damage and downtime.

    · Manage client expectations by proactively communicating with clients and company management about any property issues which need to be resolved.

    · Resolve client concerns which may arise during the course of operations by engaging with clients to understand their needs and adjust the team’s approach accordingly, while collaborating with Field Operations Coordinator and/or Account Manager for additional engagement.

    · Contribute to company growth by communicating upsell opportunities to Field Operations Coordinator and/or Account Manager.

    · Ensure that all Team Members conduct themselves by the Code of C.A.R.E. while delivering an exceptional customer experience daily.

    · Any other tasks needed to effectively complete jobs assigned to your Team.

    Reports to: The Team Leader reports directly to the Field Operations Coordinator.
