Hello! My name is Josh with Grounds Guys of Lima! Id like to take a few minutes to explain to you a few opportunities we have opening with our company The Grounds Guys Landscape Management company, but first I do want to take a minute to explain who we are. First of all yes we are a franchised company but we are independently owned and managed, our franchise allows us to have control of our business unlike other franchises, it simply helps give us tools we need to succeed, and success is what we are driven for.

In our type of business we are always looking ahead for the next big thing, with winter tying up we have to start looking ahead to spring and summer. Because 2018 was such a successful year and because of new customers we are looking to add key components to our team! That is where you come in, we are growing, come grow with us! The job openings we have are as follows:

Mow Crew Lead 1- mow crews are ran in two man teams, one lead and one laborer-candidate for lead must have verifiable zero turn experience, able to manage time on route, have an eye for details and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision as well as often times coach or help laborer succeed. This position is a team effort and is for residential and commercial properties. Candidate must be comfortable operating a truck and trailer. Will train the right applicants if learning knowledge is demonstrated by the candidates.

Mow Crew Lead 2- mow crews are ran in two man teams, one lead and one laborer-candidate for this lead must have common knowledge of zero-turn equipment, able to manage time on route, have an eye for details and complete daily tasks. this position will be mowing properties that have been vacated or are going to be torn down as well as rehabbed properties. Candidate must be comfortable operating a truck and trailer. Will train the right candidates if a woking knowledge is demonstrated.

Mulch Lead Install- mulch crew is usually composed of 2-3 people. The lead will participate in the prep and the cleaning of mulch beds, at times lay new lines to be cut with a bed edger and primarily operate the mulch blower, as well as oversee the quality and even flow of the spread and the thickness of the mulch being laid as well as oversee the cleanup of the property.Candidate must be comfortable operating a large dump truck and trailer. In most cases before laying mulch depending on the spring growth, and timing of the install the crew will also be trimming shrubs before the mulch is laid, so must have an eye for detail and some pruning knowledge as well, willing to train the right candidates for the positions if a learning knowledge is demonstrated.

Lead Spray and Fertilizer Application- responsible for all lawn applications, pre-emergent, fertilizers, liquid weed control. This candidate will also be responsible for weed control on residential and commercial property mulch beds. The candidate will have common knowledge to mix chemicals, on-site and will be using liquid herbicides, granular pesticides, and will also be responsible for pond treatments. Candidate must be comfortable operating zero-turn spray equipment, pulling up to 200' of spray hose at times and at times pushing buggy spreader, as well as operating a truck and small trailer. This is a scheduled position with peak periods of demand the work load may vary to working on one job a few days to working on another the remainder of the week.With this position being as needed, the candidate will also float to positions on an as needed basis. An ideal candidate will also have an interest in obtaining their own license.
