Landscape Production Manager
Position Description: Oversees and runs all production crews in the field ensuring proper construction and quality. Working with designers/salesperson and owner to make sure project is completed as contracted. Responsible for shop cleanliness and organization. Minimum Requirements:
• Two year degree in Landscape Horticulture/Management (or equivalent) and a minimum or 4 years continuous experience in landscape construction/installation/mowing or 6 years continuous service performing duties
• Landscape design capabilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills along with ability to self motivate
• Valid PA Driver license
Responsible for:
• As needed meet with owners if problems arise and address issues
• Complete final walk through, complete punch lists as needed and collect final payment
• Order required materials for jobs and make best effort to purchase materials at or below budget
• Set up delivery or pick up of ordered/required materials. Ensure all transactions have receipts. Code receipts and turn them in for processing.
• Review job work orders for proper hours and material counts; make corrections within the budget price where possible or bring it to the attention of the salesperson.
• Review all aspects of jobs and understand all applicable contract documents with salesperson or architect/designer
• Distribute all pertinent documentation to appropriate crews
• Thoroughly complete all documentation required accurately and in a timely fashion. Document examples include but are not limited to: requisitions for payment; daily job reports; safety reports; Review weekly A/R billing sheets, and job cost reports.
• Work within budgeted guidelines, and control, monitor, and manager spending on projects
• Create and manage any schedule developed for owner/client. Manage and schedule assigned crews to maintain a profitable and organized department.
• Manage all on site conditions involving all aspects of contracted work form layout to punch-out
• Ensuring that company signs are being placed on properties at the start of each job
• Create annual budget for assigned division. Review and qualify budget with the President. Work within budgeted guidelines, and control, monitor, and manage spending
• Daily review all timesheets and receipts for accuracy and proper coding and job assignment
• Assist on reviewing and changing company policies
• Assign crew members, train and promotes individuals. Completes yearly personnel review along with president
• Responsible for the quality of plant material and hardgoods supplied. Maintain material on site once acquired until end of project and manage jobs assigned in a fashion that represents

• Ensure proper installation techniques performed by crews
• Meet with home owners to walk through project to make sure they are pleased and addressing any concerns
• Review contract and design with foreman to ensure job being constructed per documents
• To inspect work as being completed and upon completion to make sure all work is completed in proper manner before final walk through is completed by homeowner
• Review warranty calls, schedule and assist in completing warranty work that may need to be completed 5. Crew/Personnel Supervision:
• Supervise employees from the time they arrive at the yard until the time they punch out at the end of the day
• Overseeing all crew production and construction processes
• Proper training of foreman and crew men if needed. Work with foreman on setting up training days
• Review time sheets completed daily by crews
• Receipts turned in daily with proper information by crews
• Ensuring all crews have proper tools and safety gear to complete work, if all equipment is not available work with president to acquire
• To communicate with foreman on production schedules and ensure work is being completed within time and budget
• To make sure all foreman are maintaining a clean and safe job site
• Communicating with employees about any issues that may arise about pay, disputes and communicating about days off
• Making sure all employees are in proper uniforms
• Has ability to hire and fire after discussion with President
