Lead Grout Technician - The Grout Medic – Charlotte, NC

The Grout Medic is a rapidly growing company that specializes in grout and tile cleaning, sealing, and restoration (shower/tub re-grouting and re-caulking). If you have experience with silicone caulking, or if you’ve worked in the area of tile installation, remodeling construction, swimming pool installation, concrete finishing, or stone work, you may be an ideal candidate.

Work responsibilities:

Re-grouting and re-caulking showers/tubs; as well as cleaning, sealing and staining grout on kitchen and bathroom floors

Drive company vehicle as needed.

Provide quality tile & grout cleaning and restoration

Responsible for overseeing 1-2 other team members on job sites

Set up equipment at the job site using the proper set-up procedures.

Properly protect and respect customer’s property.

Keeping a clean and tidy work space

Account for and return all equipment and tools to the truck before departure from the customer’s home.

Clean/organize vehicle at end of each day.

Inform customers about proper maintenance of their home.

Uphold all company policies and procedures.

Other tasks as assigned

This is a full-time position. You will either be working on small projects by yourself or on large projects together with another team member. All jobs will be performed in the Charlotte metro area (including locations such as Fort Mill, SC and the Lake Norman area). The ideal candidate will be able to work 5 days per week and be available one Saturday per month. A typical day involves the completion of one to two projects. The work is indoors. Most work occurs at residential homes, but we also provide service to businesses. Typical schedule is Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-5:00pm.

Recommended Experience:

Must have 1-2 years of related experience such as caulking, grouting, tile install, handyman work, construction, swimming pool installation, concrete finishing, stone work, etc.

Silicone caulking experience (required).

Grouting experience (preferred).

Experience providing service to home and business owners. (preferred)

Tile and stone knowledge

Qualifications:

Reliable & On-Time

Must be able to pass a background and motor vehicle record check.

Must speak fluent English

Must be a U.S. citizen or have work visa

Must have cell phone.

Willing to travel to locations within a 45 minute radius of Charlotte, NC

Ability to lift 50lbs. and fit into small/tight spaces (showers/bathtubs)

Ability to work on hands and knees as necessary.

Must have reliable transportation to and from shop.

Education: High School or equivalent.
