    POSITION SUMMARY

    The ideal Recruiter candidate has the knowledge and abilities to effectively communicate with nursing professionals, active search for qualified licensed nursing staff of all disciplines to join the HiHealthCare team in working in medical facilities and/or homes of medically fragile children and adults. This position will screen and interview potential candidates, working directly with the Director of Patient Care and Chief Operating Officer to determine staffing needs and fills those positions based on contract and Agency standards.

    The Recruiter works in the main office in downtown Honolulu, Monday through Friday. This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and works with the clinical team to ensure that all needs are being addressed and responded to in accordance with Agency standards. This position will be required to meet and maintain any certifications and requirements set forth by the Agency and State and Federal Regulations.

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

    Writes and places advertisements and job postings.

    Sources, reviews, and markets positions to candidates including benefit overview.

    Works with leadership to develop comprehensive recruitment strategies.

    Screens, selects, interviews and evaluates potential candidates.

    Identifies alternative recruitment methods such as online recruitment methods, professional organizations, job fairs, social media, etc., to target skilled individuals requiring varying and specific industry certifications and licenses.

    Provides recommendations in determining recruitment budget to include job fairs, events, recruitment tools and vendor fees.

    Ensures up-to-date recruitment metrics are maintained and provided on a weekly basis, detailing hiring activity to include: number of openings, average days open, average fill days, location, status, etc.

    Provides reports pertaining to recruiting and hiring as directed by President and other leadership for management and tracking purposes.

    Identifies opportunities for participation in job fairs, recruiting events and handling employment/agency inquiries.

    Promotes equal opportunity employment by analyzing results of outreach efforts and modifying recruitment efforts based on those results. Implements diversity recruitment initiatives and participates in applicable recruitment conferences and outreach efforts.

    Ascertains applicants' qualifications by conducting interviews, tests, and reference checks, coordinates interview schedule with Clinical Director, and conducts intake meetings and feedback sessions.

    Maintains accurate and up-to-date recruitment and applicant files.

    Manages and facilitates new hire on-boarding.

    ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FUNCTIONS

    Works with Payroll and Schedulers to ensure staff information is accurate and entered into payroll and point of care systems.

    Remains up-to-date on latest recruitment technologies, makes recommendations on recruitment sourcing initiatives and advises client groups of latest resources.

    Participates in team meetings, providing updates and reports.

    Contributes to agency policy and standard review and audits as assigned by leadership.

    Additional tasks as assigned by Directors of Patient Care and/or other leadership.

    Maintains HIPAA compliance.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Must be able to follow best practices when working with confidential information and documents according to agency standard.

    The ideal candidate has previous recruiting or nursing experience in a health care.

    Must have strong organization skills.

    Must have strong attention to detail.

    Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal.

    Must have prompt follow through and work with a sense of urgency.

    Must have good customer service skills and an ability to problem solve.

    Must be team player and be able to work with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.

    Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with nursing employees.

    Experience with common social media (i.e. Facebook, LinkdIn) a plus.

    Education & Experience: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in acute hospital setting and/or home care setting.

    Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with fax, e-fax, and standard office equipment preferred.

    Other Requirements: This position works directly with clients, patients and staff from varying demographics and backgrounds, the Recruiter must be able to communicate and listen carefully and professionally.
