The Health Journal is seeking a dynamic graphic and multimedia designer to join our team. If you want to just a job without ever making an impact, this position is probably not for you. We are seeking creative professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, idea generating, team environment where what you do is seen by thousands of people. This is a huge canvas for a talented designer with a keen sense for typography, so we like people who have lots and lots of ideas and breathe visual communication.

Candidates should obviously be skilled in multiple design disciplines including print, digital graphics, text animation and video editing. Basically, you should know Adobe nearly as well as your Momma.

If you are not organized, don’t bother because this position requires strong project management skills, the ability to multi-task and high attention to detail. Candidates will support the creative team from the beginning to the end of the magazine production cycle with print ad design, page layout, photo shoots, proofreading, digital upload, and more.

We don’t necessarily care if you finished a Bachelors Degree, but you must be able to demonstrate intelligence, resourcefulness, professionalism and skill.

Advanced knowledge of Macs, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Word Press and other web tools are necessary. And social media savviness is required.
