    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Executive Director, Research & Advisory, the PRINCIPAL, HEALTH EQUITY ALLIANCE is a critical role in our growing research business. The Health Equity Alliance was designed to serve as a resource and peer group for Health Systems an leaders as they seek to drive equitable outcomes. As leaders look to identify a set of equity objectives for their organizations, they need tools, resources, advocacy, and help measuring success.

    The Principal is responsible for leadership over the Alliance. As this new offering prepares to launch, the Principal works with the sales team to position the product’s value proposition to members and supports inaugural recruitment efforts with content and subject matter expertise. Upon launch, the Principal becomes the product/program expert, managing a team of researchers to deliver the offering and drive ongoing member value.

    PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

    • Oversee content and delivery of membership-based research product including setting product strategy and direction
    • Manage and coach a team of analysts and consultants
    • Oversee and coach team through product research process including surveying and design, data analysis, interviewing, insight generation and framing, content design and delivery
    • Provide research thought leadership around a variety of topic areas within a product domain and facilitate member discussions, webinars, and briefings
    • Set vision for the product’s strategy and direction informed by member and market feedback
    • Set the bar for quality member deliverables that synthesize complex ideas into actionable insights based on the product’s market segment
    • Work with Sales to support pursuits, grow product revenue, and achieve renewal targets

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 9+ years of substantive work experience in health care research
    • Strong project management experience, including demonstrated ability to efficiently plan, organize, and manage complex, multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision or direction
    • Demonstrated skills in researching and analyzing healthcare issues, including an ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of information and to focus quickly on the essence of an issue
    • Creative, strategic thinker with excellent analytic and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills, including ability to drafting of interview guides, execute studies, and produce syntheses of key findings
    • Articulate – written and oral - and professional; excellent customer and client service skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to work independently and in a collaborative work environment
    • Ability to travel as required (perhaps > 50% of the time)
    • Desire and ability to work independently for substantial periods of time with a high degree of autonomy
    • Supervisory experience is required
    • Experience working for private equity-backed companies a plus
