The main duty of the PROGRAM PRODUCTION ASSISTANT is to facilitate and perform the various team-based tasks that contribute to the successful implementation of daily activities, seasonal programs, and special events in the Venues. Duties include the installation, maintenance, operation, and removal of all event and program components and materials. Work is predominantly physical labor. Assists the Program Production leadership and team members by fulfilling the execution of established standards of operations based on guidelines and training set by The Henry Ford. Contributes to the successful operation of the Program Production team. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs all associated duties and work details involving the general operation of special events and daily programming across all institutional venues both indoors and outdoors, including, but not limited to the installation, operation, and removal of components and technical aspects of special events, on-site activations, daily programming and general maintenance thereof.
    • Contributes positively to the successful execution of daily activities, seasonal programs, and special events by ensuring strong attention to aesthetic appearance and a guest-minded approach to work.
    • Engages guests, vendors, contractors, participants, and volunteers in various roles during special events and responds to their needs appropriately.
    • Provides excellent hospitality and service to guests, consistent with a strong emphasis on core hospitality principles as established by the institution.
    • Ensures the safety of guests and staff through appropriate knowledge of work environment and actions. Follows established safe-work practices and demonstrates a common-sense approach to task accomplishment.
    • Participates and supports the activities and decisions of the team and works collaboratively with team members both within the department and across the institution.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 18 years of age or older
    • Weekday, weekend, evening & holiday availability
    • Forklift operation experience
    • Knowledge of basic hand tools and their application
    • Experience driving a standard transmission or willingness/ability to learn

    Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and wear period clothing or uniforms.
