The Diversity and Inclusion Internship Program at The Henry Ford is a cohort-based program that offers professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. FOR WINTER 2023, INTERNSHIPS WILL LAST 15 WEEKS, PROJECTED TO BEGIN ON JANUARY 23 AND CONCLUDE ON MAY 5. ALL INTERNSHIPS ARE PAID OPPORTUNITIES.

HOW WILL WE WORK TOGETHER?  

The FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING INTERN can expect to work a hybrid schedule. Based on specific project needs, there are times when you and the team will work on-site at The Henry Ford's campus in Dearborn, MI. 

This internship opportunity will be led by our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and supported by our finance and accounting teams.  As our Finance and Accounting Intern you will work closely with the CFO on various finance and accounting-related projects and will receive training that will be tailored to meet you where you are. 

Primary responsibilities and possible projects include monthly budget to actual analysis, assisting with the month-end closing process, attending interdepartmental meetings, and assisting with the preparation of Board meeting materials.

WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?  

To be successful as our Finance and Accounting Intern, you should have an interest in accounting, finance, or financial analysis & planning as well as a commitment to learning new tasks, being open to feedback, and not taking yourself too seriously.  

You will need:

• Curiosity  
• Effective and flexible communication  
• Organizational skills   
• Beginner or intermediate Excel skills
