    The Diversity and Inclusion Internship Program at The Henry Ford is a cohort-based program that offers professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. We invite diverse candidates* who are curious about careers in the museum world to become a part of our legacy and take it forward. **For Summer 2024, internships will last 10 weeks, projected to begin on June 3rd and conclude on August 9 th. **

    How will we work together?

    The Culinary Historical Research Intern can expect to work hybrid. Based on specific project needs, there are times when you and the team will work on-site at The Henry Ford's campus in Dearborn, MI.

    This internship opportunity will be led by the Culinary Team at The Henry Ford and supported by our Food and Beverage colleagues across our venues. Assisting our team of chefs, your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Researching historical cookbooks that are relevant to specific restaurant themes
    • Collaborating with curators and the culinary team
    • Assist in writing content for cookbook and website
    • Supporting projects for Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village operations

    What should you have?

    To be successful, the Culinary Historical Research Intern should have a strong interest in writing and understand basic culinary terms and techniques as well as a passion for cooking.

    You will need:

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
    • Ability to collaborate
    • Curiosity
    • Effective and flexible communication
    • Organizational skills
