  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY The Packer is responsible for carrying out the instructions of their team leads and supervisors and performing a variety of tasks in the production of manufactured goods.

    This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday with some Sundays, Openings on 2nd shift available: 2:30PM-11:00PM, with overtime.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Perform production line tasks as directed by room lead or supervisor including packaging, blending, portioning, labeling, material handling

    • Assist with cleaning and sanitation activities as directed by room lead and / or supervisor

    • Inspects raw materials against quality standards before loading raw materials

    • Interacts with team members, quality assurance and maintenance to maximize output and efficiency.

    • Works as a team with other operators to ensure no line stoppages and improve operations.

    • Cross trains to perform work on other lines or in other production areas as needed

    • Lift finished products and pack them manually

    • Report machine faults to shift supervisors and maintenance staff Adhere to all Food Safety/Quality Standards of Operations

     QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
    • Previous Food experience a plus
    • Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively.
    • Comfort working in a high-speed production environment.
    • Ability to work in a high paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Ability to read, write and speak English
    • Successful completion of a post offer physical, drug screen and background check is required.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislation, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.
