    HIGH GROWTH B2B SAAS COMPANY SEEKING A FIRST TIME VP OF PEOPLE TO JOIN THEIR GLOBAL OPERATIONS TEAM.

     

    We’re looking for a VP of People to join our executive team to develop and deliver global people process and policies, including key business processes, organizational development, performance management, workforce planning, staffing and onboarding processes. And because our customers are HR professionals, the VP of People will help craft product strategy, think critically about customer needs, and inform the overall corporate strategy.

    Responsibilities

    • Executive leadership: as a key member of our management team, your “first team” is e-staff; you will contribute to the overall strategic decision making of the business.
    • Management development: implement processes and programs to continuously improve the quality of people management. Help us build a solid human capital foundation for scale.
    • Culture and accountability: although every e-staff member is accountable to being an ambassador for culture, the VP of People will implement programs and organizational “habits” that reinforce our three core values of bias to action, fearlessness, and customer honesty.
    • Staffing: establish and develop our staffing function across all job sites.
    • Coaching: bring experience to bear on development and performance challenges, uplevel our top performers, and hold fellow e-staff members to their highest leadership standards.
    • Performance management: establish and manage the company’s performance management activities, succession planning, and related core processes.
    • Policies: develop and deliver all necessary HR policies.

    Qualifications

    • Experience managing multiple subfunctions of HR, such as recruiting, facilities, talent management.
    • An opinion on how things should be done: favorite frameworks that have worked coupled with clear thought about why they did.
    • Experience with high growth startups.
    • Capacity for insightful business thought and a habit of reasoning from first principles; willingness to challenge the status quo and engage in productive conflict.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of resources and processes for workforce management, such as performance planning, succession planning, executive recruiting, and leadership coaching.
    • Strong foundation of business fundamentals, including a data-driven mindset and thorough understanding of key business drivers and their measurement.
