Job Description
Personal injury law firm seeks experienced, responsible, detail oriented, and very organized candidate for full time paralegal. Applicant must have at least 2 years of personal injury litigation experience and able to step into existing caseload and discovery schedule.
Tasks: -Handle a limited number of complex, fact and document intensive cases from inception to conclusion -Conduct research regarding the incident -Outline cases, key evidence, key witnesses, future discovery and other tasks on ongoing basis -Draft case/issue specific discovery (production requests, interrogatories, corporate person most qualified categories) -Respond to discovery -Communicate and work with clients and experts -Organize investigative materials and discovery documents -Maintain electronic files in a detailed and organized manner -Provide general office assistance -Interact with lawyers on a daily basis
Qualifications: -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Strong time management and organizational skills -Strong work ethic and problem solving skills -Ability to multi-task and work independently
Skills: -Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word and Outlook) and WordPerfect. Casemap, Textmap, and TimeMatters knowledge (or other similar legal organizational programs) would be a plus.
