    We are searching for a Host/Hostess to join our team at The Hotel Salem in Salem, MA. Our Host/Hostess team are the first and last people a guest interacts with; they are the people that represent the restaurant. As a Host/Hostess, you will be part of a collaborative and passionate group that strives for an excellent guest experience. Perks of the Job: • **** Daytime/Evening/Weekend Shifts available • Competitive Wages • Adaptable Working Hours • Advancement Opportunities Responsibilities: • Warmly welcome our guests by opening the door, smiling, and making eye contact as they enter the restaurant • Utilize technology to make reservations, operate a wait, and assist guests, all while maintaining a personal touch with the guest • Seat guests at their own pace, handing the appropriate menu(s) to each guest after they’re seated • Communicate with servers and managers regarding the availability of tables, the seating of large parties, or special requests so that guests receive seamless service • Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues PLUS ONE to ensure overall guest satisfaction • Work as a collaborative team to coordinate service between the first-floor restaurant The Counter and our rooftop restaurant The Roof • Help other departments as needed by running food, bussing tables, and a variety of other tasks with the goal of great guest service Qualifications: • English fluency • Basic computer skills • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment Compensation: $17 hourly
