We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented certified public accountant for our client's financial success. You’ll be in charge of a group of accounts for financial planning, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, producing reports, and providing recommendations to keep profits up and costs down. Responsibilities: • Conduct internal auditing • Forecast revenue and analyze our profit margin to better determine our effectiveness • Make recommendations to improve the financial health of our organization • Provide counsel on organizational strategic planning and budget • Establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure the business runs smoothly • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Conduct detailed financial analysis and evaluate tax implications related to clients' financial situations • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial documentation, answer inquiries, and provide proactive tax planning advice • Perform general accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and changes that may impact clients' financial obligations • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, assisting them in their professional development Qualifications: • At least 2 years of work experience in accounting services, financial services or related position • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Must have passed the uniform CPA examination from the AICPA and be CPA certified within the state board of accountancy regulations • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, preference to candidates with an MBA • Valid CPA license with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting. • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, as well as expertise in tax research. • Proficient in using tax software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously • Strong analytical abilities to identify potential tax deductions, credits, and opportunities for clients' financial advantage • Effective communication skills to clearly explain complex tax laws and concepts to clients • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to provide creative solutions • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work within designated deadlines Compensation: $50 - $75 hourly
