Responsibilities: • Bookkeeping: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial transactions • Liaise with tax accountants to track payments and returns • Provide counsel on organizational strategic planning and budget • Establish how effectively we’re converting sales to income by forecasting revenue and analyzing our profit margin • Perform regular business administration, financial reporting, and keep all financial records, financial documents, and accounting systems up to date • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Conduct detailed financial analysis and evaluate tax implications related to clients' financial situations • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial documentation, answer inquiries, and provide proactive tax planning advice • Perform general accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and changes that may impact clients' financial obligations • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, assisting them in their professional development Qualifications: • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, Master’s degree preferred but not required • Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • 2+ years of work experience in accounting services, financial services, or similar field • Passed the uniform CPA examination from the AICPA and possess a CPA certification in compliance with the state board of accountancy regulations • Valid CPA license with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting. • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, as well as expertise in tax research. • Proficient in using tax software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously • Strong analytical abilities to identify potential tax deductions, credits, and opportunities for clients' financial advantage • Effective communication skills to clearly explain complex tax laws and concepts to clients • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to provide creative solutions • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work within designated deadlines Compensation: $50 - $75 hourly
