    The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is seeking a full-time cook to join our team, responsible for preparing delicious meals not only for breakfast and lunch but also for dinner. Upon joining, you'll receive a $250 sign-on bonus after completing 90 days of employment. We are looking for a skilled individual who can craft basic breakfast items such as eggs and pancakes, as well as a variety of lunch and dinner options. Organization in prepping for daily service is essential to ensure a smooth operation in our open kitchen, where guests can admire your culinary skills as they pass by. Your responsibilities will include creating breakfast specialties, seasonal lunch dishes like soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, and flavorful dinners. While prior experience is beneficial, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate. Responsibilities: • Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff • Ensure food is presented in an attractive manner • Communicate with the servers regarding orders, allergies, etc. • Maintain a clean working environment and follow all sanitation standards, labeling, dating, and rotating stock • Stock and organize food trucks, put away incoming stock, and rotate accordingly • Greet guests as they pass through the open kitchen • Clean up the kitchen after the shift and take care of leftover food • Take out trash • Put away and store food properly, date, rotated, etc. • Communicate needs to be placed for food orders to Executive Chef, write down items low on stock, etc. • Communicate with the servers and other members of management as needed • Multi-tasking Qualifications: • Organized and efficient at prepping necessary recipe items • Experience in cooking breakfast and basic lunch items (training available) • Ability to work alone or with a team • Ability to follow a recipe • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs • Treat others with integrity, fairness, and respect • Have basic food handling and food safety skills • Willingness to be trained and learn new things • Time Management • A passion for food Compensation: $16 Hourly
