Requirements Umpires must be at least 15 years of age with a good understanding of baseball and/or softball or interest in learning. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that includes weekend daytime and evening shifts Works well independently and with of co-workers Punctuality COACHES DESCRIPTION: The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable Coaches for our Spring/Summer Softball and Baseball training programs. Our coaches will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to players ages 10-17. The J's Baseball and Softball instructional programs emphasize skill development, self-discipline and safety and teach the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required. Free staff membership during the baseball/softball season This position is active April - September We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with training sessions and to coach games. Essential Functions - Lead baseball/softball drills at practices and coach in games for ages 10-17 - Help set up and tear down equipment - Supervise children ages 10 to 17 years old Requirements - Experience working with children preferred - Experience as a coach/player is required - Knowledge of baseball/softball and its rules - Able to work a flexible schedule - Must have reliable transportation About The J The J is committed to creating a diverse environment.
