Research Intern
Sanford Burnham Prebys is a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding human biology and disease, and advancing scientific discoveries to profoundly impact human health.
Research in the Commisso lab (www.commissolab.com) is centered on elucidating the underlying mechanisms that drive metabolic stress tolerance in tumors. We are particularly interested in identifying metabolic adaptations and dependencies that contribute to tumor progression and can be targeted to develop novel therapeutic modalities for cancer.
A POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE position is available to study the role of metabolic stress in tumor cell fitness, chemoresistance or tumor-stroma interactions. In consultation with and under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will plan and manage all aspects of a research project from research design to publication.
