    DESCRIPTION

    This position is a key contributor and leader in conducting internal audits for the organization including financial, operational, compliance and strategy-focused audits in Mexico and USA. This position plans, executes and reports on all aspects of the audit, use analytical tools to conduct audits and makes recommendations that add value to the business. It builds upon and broadens business knowledge with exposure to the entire organization, including access and exposure to all levels of management.

    Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Solves a range of moderately complex problems. Leads projects of limited scope and portions of larger projects. Provides informal guidance to team members with less experience. Contributes to department objectives and outcomes as guided.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Designs, develops and leads a variety of internal audit projects including financial, operational and compliance audits, consulting projects, internal investigations and other management requested projects.
    • Obtains an understanding of business area risks, processes and internal control procedures.
    • Develops and documents efficient and effective audit objectives, programs and testing procedures.
    • Performs and documents walk-throughs of business processes using flowcharting applications.
    • Utilizes data analytic tools to enhance audit coverage and add value to the business.
    • Assesses financial statement risk related to business objectives and determines if sufficient controls are in place.
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement in processes and recommends changes to mitigate risk.
    • Communicates opportunities, recommendations and status of projects to management.
    • Drafts and completes audit reports communicated to executive management and the Audit Committee.
    • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

    REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree of Public Accountan (with Title)from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
    • Minimum two (2) years of relevant professional experience in an International Accounting Firm, or as Internal Auditor in a Company
    • Upper Intermediate Level of English (Spoken, Written and Read)
    • Intermediate level of excel (Microsoft)

    PREFERRED

    • Internal audit, public accounting.
    • Experience with, SAP, ACL and/or Power BI
    • CPA or other relevant certifications

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
    • This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
