Summer Camp Art Instructor
POSITION OVERVIEW: This is a temporary position (time frame is listed below). Reporting to and working closely with the Manager of Youth & Family Programs, the Summer Camp Art Instructor will lead art lessons for 3 weeks of the museum’s 2024 youth summer camps. The working hours are during summer camp weeks, Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. June 3-7; June 10-14; July 22-26. Additionally, a 3-hour shift of training during the week of May 27.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM : The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art provides experiences that inspire human connection and transformation through art depicting the peoples, landscapes, and history of the American West, and wildlife of the world. More than 400 works of art including sculpture, paintings, and jewelry are on display in the museum’s 26,000 square feet of gallery space. The museum engages the community through programs and educational opportunities that bring our history to life and amplify voices that are not often at the forefront of mainstream Western art. The James Museum opened in April 2018 in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, a community with a thriving arts scene, located on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
