  • Responsibilities

    As the ACCOUNTING ANALYST, you'll manage accounts payable, weekly bookkeeping and reconciliation activities. You'll support the month-end close process, automation plans, and other special accounting related projects on an ongoing basis. If you have knowledge of accounting, enjoy building processes, and have a love for the numbers and details, this is the job for you!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accounts Payable administration which includes:
    • Maintaining detailed invoice schedules and preparing payments
    • Managing the vendor database (including collection of W-9's)
    • Corresponding with internal and external partners to address billing inquiries
    • Perform bookkeeping activities on an ongoing basis: upload transactional activities to the general ledger system and properly classify and code transactions to appropriate GL accounts
    • Perform weekly and monthly account reconciliations
    • Prepare workpapers and accounting schedules in excel to support month-end journal entries
    • Assist the Controller to record periodic journal entries and prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
    • Help with automation plans and implementations of third-party solutions to enhance financial procedures
    • Assist with initial internal controls evaluations
    • Help with other ad hoc accounting projects

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting with 2+ years of relevant experience; CPA preferred
    • Prior Big 4 or start up experience a plus
    • Experience using general ledger systems including transaction coding, bank reconciliations, and manual journal entries
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end and year-end close process
    • Proficiency in excel; experience using advanced formulas
    • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
