    Our clients product provides rich data on virtually every commercial property in the country (and all of the workflow software built on top of that to make it useful). Think Redfin for every commercial property, with Salesforce functionality to organize and track your work. For our users who serve these properties, this data and workflow becomes their secret weapon; there's nothing else like it available today.

    Our customers are responsible for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the lighting, safety, security, and dozens of other privileges that we are incredibly fortunate to take for granted in buildings across all of America. We are based in, and love, the seven square miles of San Francisco, but our customers live and work in almost every state in America.     The Role ...

    You will be a core member of our accounting efforts for our industry-leading product.

    On day one, you’ll be a having real impact by further improving our accounting practices, managing AR, AP, and financial processes. You’ll work closely in supporting our senior leadership team on financial reporting and dip your toes into business intelligence processes. Over time, you will take on broad role building out our accounting function working closely with our COO. You will always be a thoughtful analytical mind who leads with data, effectively communicates, and helps building a best-in-class accounting department for a Saas business.

    Your core responsibilities include…

    • Work closely with cross functional teams (Operations, customer success, our tax accountants, and our management team)

    • Ensure all accounting and journal entries go smoothly & our customers receive world-class service even when it comes to paying us, this includes

    o Manage the full Order to Cash lifecycle (invoicing and management of our ARs, etc.)

    o Liaise with our 3rd party accountants on tax returns and support (and eventually drive) monthly closings

    o Support for our month-end/quarter-end and year-end close processes and preparation of core management reporting

    o Review/prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations

    o Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures

    • You have a passion for making accounts balance and attention to detail and would like to partner with our COO and other members of the team in building and maintaining the financial baseline for management dashboards; you’ll always be up to help with high priority ad-hoc analyses

    • You will not only manage and oversee daily operations of our accounting and support business reporting but continuously thrive to make it better

    • You are keen to meet all deadlines consistently and have an eye for detail

    You’re qualified because you have…

    • Worked in FP&A in SaaS before

    • Have a CPA License (required)

    • 5+ years of overall accounting experience, experience with a SaaS business model preferred

    • Deep knowledge in Quickbooks, Bill.com, SFDC, and Netsuite and aren’t afraid to learn new tools quickly

    • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge in Excel

    • A strong grasp on Accounting, Finance, and Order to Cash processes to establish efficient workflows and introduce new software platforms where necessary

    • Hands on and proactive approach to problem solving

    • Are dedicated and a team player – learn from and teach the people around you

    • Strong attention and an eye for details because they matter to you

    • Ability to multi-task
