ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

Our Product Design team is seeking a talented UX Writer!

As our UX Writer, you'll use clarifying language and brand personality to help shape our digital experiences. You'll collaborate with product designers and product marketers to craft engaging and inviting content for new users, while bringing simplicity and life to tools and moments across the experience. You will work with your teams from concept through delivery on everything from small features and iterative enhancements to large system-wide initiatives. You'll adhere to brand tone guidelines, and establish and maintain consistency in our product copy—from buttons and notifications to entire flows—with a unified voice. You might be a good fit for this role if:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You write compelling UX copy that is clear, concise and useful. You create high-quality, thoughtful solutions that achieve business goals and help users complete desired actions, with quantifiable impact.
• You are a natural storyteller who can drive a cohesive narrative through an experience. You craft a UX voice that is relatable, human, and conversational, building value and trust with a brand. 
• You're a creative thinker with a sharp wit and a generous emotional range. You adhere to brand voice, and write in the tone appropriate for a variety of contexts, experiences, and moments. You know when simple and brief copy is best, and when it's ok to have a little fun. 
• You anticipate user needs, writing content that is platform- and context-aware, and mindful to what users are experiencing in the moment.
• You approach problems as a design thinker. You maintain a strong attention to detail. You are flexible and adaptable, taking constructive criticism with ease, and applying feedback as needed.
• You enjoy working hard; you take initiative and are responsible and reliable. You are action-oriented and energized by challenges. You take pride in the quality of your work.

SUCCESSFUL UX WRITER CANDIDATES HAVE:

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or equivalent education
• 3+ years experience writing for digital products and user experiences
• Familiarity with agile processes and collaborative workflows
• A portfolio of writing samples showcasing how your copy simplified and enhanced digital experiences and products. You can speak to your creative process, how you arrived at your solutions, and the impacts they had
• This role will ideally be based in our New York office, but we are open to hiring a remote candidate with the right experience.
