We are actively seeking a Restaurant Floor Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the daily front-of-house operations of the restaurant function. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, quality control, cost control, customer satisfaction, employee management, and facility maintenance. A Floor Manager will work closely with the General Manager regarding short and long-term goals and manage expenses within approved budget parameters.
The ideal candidate should possess great communication skills, champion collaboration, thrive in a creative environment, value coaching, and is dynamic in resolving problems through empathy and action.
Opening in Fall of 2022, the LINE SF is a kinetic intersection where SoMa, Union Square, and the Tenderloin converge. Our endeavor is to reflect the neighborhood, culture, and spirit of the city by offering a food and beverage program devoted to the bountiful ingredients offered in the Bay Area region.
Responsibilities
Must be courteous and gracious, always maintaining a professional demeanor
Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
Maintain “open door” communication with employees
Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and service, constantly monitoring guest experience
Create and develop training programs with the goal of constant improvement, both at the individual and group level
Responsible for obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of the food and beverage areas, the quality levels, performance and standards of service
Develop new and analyze existing procedures that will improve guest patronage under the guidelines of Company’s policies
Handles all guest complaints in the restaurant area
Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
Participate in decision making and financial responsibility of Food & Beverage Program
Participate in weekly departmental meetings
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control
Assist GM in interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing and scheduling personnel
Monitor and develop employee performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, setting annual goals and delivering recognition and reward
Ensure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountable
Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files
Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
Attend relevant meetings
Core Competencies
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
At least two (2) years’ experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
