However, the primary duty of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to transform data into insight that can help to improve the value of the business. Working closely with both the IT team and with the cross functional leadership, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing data visualization for the organization. This individual will be expected to deliver unique business insights by packaging data in ways that will assist both Executives and internal teams in understanding complex analyses and data trends. A successful candidate will work collaboratively across departments to understand the business needs for data analysis and proactively make recommendations for the best way to present data in an easily digestible and interactive format. The role will require a strong knowledge of BI tools, but also must be able to see connections and make meaning out of the data available. He/she will be solution oriented, self-start, work effectively independently and as part of a larger team, communicate effectively, and possess strong project management skills to deliver results. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Essential Job Functions •Develop and maintain a key set of interactive dashboards that can be used to measure the performance of the business and identify areas of growth and optimization as well as risk or operational issues •Analyze business requirements and processes to make recommendations for both management and executives for implementation. Meet with key departmental stakeholders to establish priorities and set a plan for operationalizing new or updated tools and insights as suggested by data driven analysis •Employ a formal 5 step project management methodology that uses a strategic approach planning, requirements gathering, scope, execution, and deployment to keep directives on track, on budget, and optimize results •Interface with multiple data sources such as ERP, PLM, FP&A, Google Analytics, Retail POS, and others to ensure data is being analyzed, distributed, and leveraged in meaningful ways •Provide thought leadership on BI tools and stay abreast of developing trends for data and analytics visualization •Develop machine learning models that utilize collected data to predict key insights that could help to increase the effectiveness of decision-making in the entire product lifecycle of the business •Foster data literacy throughout the organization as well as generate and maintain all system and user documentation and training
