The Lake Worth Playhouse is a non-profit theatre community theatre with a diverse array of offerings including a 6 show main stage season and a 4 show black box season including comedies, musicals. Additionally, we offer a variety of concerts, limited engagements, educational programs for adults and children, as well as community outreach initiatives. www.lakeworthplayhouse.org full time salary Paid vacation and sick leave We are seeking a full-time Technical Director/Master Carpenter to join our dedicated staff. This position will lead the technical needs for all stage productions. As such, the Technical Director is responsible for facilitating the construction of stage productions as well as coordinating and assisting facility rentals. The Technical Director will supervise the maintenance of the stage and facilities and train personnel on all best safety practices. - Preferred at least three years of hands-on experience in a wide variety of technical areas used in theater production. - Responsible for the hiring and management of over hire crews as needed - Oversee all rentals load-in and rehearsal and technical needs. - Proficiency with carpentry and engineering for theatrical production builds - Must have knowledge of lighting and sound systems - Must have strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills. - Must be a team player that is flexible, and willing to support the department with various job-related duties when needed. - Trains stage crew in use the of light and soundboards as applicable - Must be able to supervise and recruit volunteers - Other duties as assigned - Ability to work independently and to maintain a positive work atmosphere The Playhouse is committed to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
