The Law Office of Hakimi & Shahriari is a fast-growing, boutique law firm located in Los Angeles, California, with a sophisticated and unique practice. The firm's focus is aggressive, plaintiff litigation in the areas of class action, civil rights, personal injury and product liability. The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation from filing pleadings to discovery and motion practice and trial. The junior litigation associate is expected to be a self-starter that will manage a large case load with some minor initial training.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Draft pleadings
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue motions (i.e. motion to compel, motion for summary judgment, motion in limine etc.)
• Attend miscellaneous court hearings
• Initially second chair and ultimately first chair at trial

Requirements A MINIMUM OF 1-3 YEARS OF LITIGATION EXPERIENCE

• Member in good standing of the California state bar
• Fluency with the standard practices, rules and procedures of litigation in California state and federal court

Compensation

The company will offer a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity. _THERE ARE QUARTERLY, PERFORMANCE BASED BONUSES AND A YEAR-END BONUS. _
