    We are recruiting a Junior Bankruptcy Attorney for a client with industry-leading pay. industry-leading benefits and industry-leading work. 

    A Junior Bankruptcy Attorney should have an active law license and admission to at least one bankruptcy court. The attorney should have 1-2 years of experience working in a debtor's side bankruptcy firm under direct supervision. 

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To perform at least 8 hours of work per weekday.
    • Counsel clients on their financial problems and potential resolutions.
    • Maintain familiarity with non-bankruptcy methods to resolve financial problems (foreclosure defense, loan workouts, etc). 
    • Evaluate whether a Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition is appropriate if any for a particular client.
    • Meet with clients to prepare bankruptcy cases for filing and prepare the clients for examination by bankruptcy trustees. 
    • Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions and post=petition filings for review by senior attorneys. 
    • Appear at meetings or hearing mandated by the Court and Bankruptcy trustees.
    • Manage and evaluate the work of paralegals and support staff. 
    • Build and maintain relationships with bankruptcy trustees and their staff. 
    • Assist senior attorneys on active Chapter 13 cases.

    PAID HOLIDAYS AND TIME OFF: Attorneys are paid for major holidays and provided with paid time off on an increasing scale based upon how long employed.
