  • Responsibilities

    Our law firm is looking for an individual looking for a full-time attorney position to provide legal counsel to our clients. You will conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files, communicate with clients, prepare for and attend hearings. You must be able to handle a legal matter from start to finish. The person must have experience at minimum 5 years of experience in family law. However, this person must also have some in experience in guardianship, probate, and estate planning or be willing to learn the areas. Responsibilities: • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside other attorneys and paralegals • Handle your cases from start to finish, including but not limited to drafting, client communications, hearings/trials, mediation, and communication with opposing parties/attorneys. Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Prepared to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and other attorneys Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 yearly per year
