Responsibilities: • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date Qualifications: • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Prior experience representing clients in trials and mediation • Must be able to handle a moderate caseload while supervising others • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with management and interpersonal skills Compensation: $82,000 - $125,000 DOE
