Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research, prepare for, and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determining the best course of action • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff • Communicate with paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Draft various documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. • Communicate with the client to obtain information/documents/records needed • Assist in preparing for court appearances, client meetings, mediations, etc. • Attend court appearances, client meetings, mediations, etc. with the attorney • Meeting with the client to learn the client’s goals • Ensure the client is kept updated on the progress of their matter • Develop strategy and tasks needed to drive the case to accomplish milestones and timely resolution of the matter Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Candidates must have passed the bar exam Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys • Attention to detail and organizational skills Compensation: $40+ hourly negotiable
