    Job Description The Learning Experience (TLE) – Clinton Hill is seeking candidates for the position of Educational Director. The Educational Director will be responsible for implementing curriculum, managing all program-related aspects and enrollments of a childcare and early learning center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn to serve up to 151 children from 6 weeks to five years of age. The Educational Director will be a highly energetic individual with a passion for childcare, genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education. The Educational Coordinator will report to the franchisee owner of The Learning Experience – Clinton Hill and the Center Director.

    Benefits:

    5 (five) vacation days, and five (5) sick days by accrual after 90-day introductory period.

    Principal Areas of Responsibility:

    Educational Leadership and Mentorship

    Interviews teacher candidates along with the Center Director; Assists in building networks of external future talent.

    Manages classroom staff for a high-expectations, high-achievement performance culture by maintaining a positive team environment, while addressing any staffing issues promptly.

    Conducts regular classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.

    Uses a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop teaching staff based on their identified areas of improvement.

    Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action.

    Serves as a liaison for the Department of Education 3K for All and PreK for All programs constituents and assists teachers in implementation of DOE standards.

    Parent Engagement Focus

    Leads tours with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.

    Oversees enrollments and leads tracking system, including classroom assignments and rosters.

    Oversees children’s files and onboards all new students from enrollment to start date.

    Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress.

    Oversees teachers' use of the parent communication app.

    Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Must possess a CURRENT NYS TEACHING CERTIFICATION: B-2 or N-6 required.

    At least two years direct experience in the early childhood field.

    Ability to maintain strong relationships with families and team members

    Must have a Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field.

    Two or more years of teaching experience in a program serving children 6 years of age and under required.

    Must have professional teaching experience with infant to preschool children.

    Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

    CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred.

    Must meet state specific guidelines.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Highly detail-oriented.

    Ability and willingness to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
