    Educational Coordinator

    The Learning Experience – Battery Park

    The Learning Experience (TLE) – Battery Park is seeking candidates for the position of Educational Coordinator. The Educational Coordinator will be responsible for implementing curriculum, supporting and mentoring teachers, managing all program-related aspects and enrollments of a childcare and early learning center in the Battery Park neighborhood of Manhattan. The Educational Coordinator will be a highly energetic individual with a passion for childcare, genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education. The Educational Coordinator will report to the Managing Director of TLE – Battery Park. Core qualities we're seeking as we build our team:

    Principal Areas of Responsibility:

    ¨ Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates along with the Managing and Assistant Director’s; Builds networks of external future talent

    ¨ Assist the Managing and Assistant Director’s in managing classroom staff for a high-expectations, high-achievement performance culture by maintaining a positive team environment.

    ¨ Conducts classroom observations, evaluations and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.

    ¨ Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop teaching staff

    ¨ Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action with the Managing Director

    ¨ Leads tours with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.

    ¨ Manages classroom assignments, rosters, and teacher assignments.

    ¨ Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress

    ¨ Execution of our parent communication app and any assessment tools.

    ¨ Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations

    Minimum Requirements:

    ¨ Must possess a current NYS Teaching Certification: Birth - 6 grade

    ¨ At least two years Director /Education Management Experience

    ¨ Ability to maintain strong relationships with families and team members

    ¨ Must have a Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field.

    ¨ Two or more years of professional teaching experience in a program serving children 6 years of age and under required.

    ¨ Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations (Article 47).

    ¨ CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred.

    ¨ Must meet state specific guidelines

    ¨ Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    ¨ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    ¨ Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ¨ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    ¨ Highly detail-oriented.
