    Center of Excellence Award Winner! The Learning Experience is a state-of-the-art facility providing childcare and preschool programs. We are looking for a full-time Center Director to manage our brand-new location in Hilliard, OH. This is a really exciting opportunity to join our leadership team.

    We are searching for a director who can manage the daily operations, develop a team, create family partnerships and run a quality child development center. This is a position for a motivated, result-oriented, and experienced Center Director to lead and manage all aspects of our daily operations.

    Role Responsibilities

    PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

    Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the future.

    Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates; Builds networks of external future talent.

    Conducts classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback to motivate and encourage learning.

    Manages team to ensure TLE curriculum is executed in alignment with Franchise standards and ODJFS Licensing rules and regulations

    Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action

    Daily management of classroom ratios

    Manages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations

    Send reports to the Franchise and owners in a timely manner.

    Builds and communicates weekly center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact and labor is effectively managed to budget.

    Works with the business manager to achieve performance goals and grow the center.

    Help teachers to plan and implement the proprietary curriculum for the center.

    Recruit, select and retain quality staff. Conduct regular performance review of the teachers.

    CUSTOMER FOCUS

    Leads tour with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.

    Promote a positive image of the center and the company.

    Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress

    Executes “parent pleasers”

    Execution of our Show and Tell

    Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers

    Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulations

    Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations

    Responsible for accident/incident reporting

    Medication management

    Conducts monthly emergency safety drills

    Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations

    Responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment exists for the children and parents.

    Be a mentor and leader to a staff who will report directly to you.

    In order to be considered for this position, you must meet all state licensing requirements, including:

    A minimum 5+ years experience in a licensed daycare with at least 2+ years in a center leadership role as Center Director / Assistant Director or similar.

    CPL Level 3 or more.

    A bachelor’s degree or equivalent credits in Early Childhood Education. Candidates without an Associate's degree can be considered if they have more than 10+ years of license-based childcare experience

    Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children.

    Having a working knowledge of all ODJFS licensing rules.

    Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, office phones and familiarity with computers, tablets and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.)

    CPR and First Aid Certification are highly preferred.
