  • Responsibilities

    Instructional Supports Monitor (ISM)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: shall include but is not limited to the following:

    Collaborates with the Instructional Support Specialist and Coordinator of Instructional Supports to develop, implement, and revise behavior support programs

    Monitors individual staff implementation of behavior programs

    Ensures all staff have materials necessary for implementation of behavior programs

    Monitors data collection during the day

    Trains staff on behavior programs as needed

    Preparation, provision, and collection of data sheets on an as needed basis

    Preparation, provision, collection and storage of reinforcers as needed

    Completion of competency checklists on scheduled basis for all behavior programs and provide feedback based on the results of this checklist

    Assist in completion of the most relevant assessments for the individual served, including but not limited to:

    Functional Assessment Interviews

    ABLLS assessments

    Time distribution graphs

    structured observational assessments

    structured descriptive assessments

    Analogue Functional Analysis

    Completion of reports on an as needed basis

    Generation of graphs as needed for students

    Attendance and presentation, as needed, of information at scheduled Instructional Supports Review Committee (ISRC) meetings

    Attendance and presentation, as needed, at scheduled treatment team meetings

    Assist in reward assessments and construction of reward systems

    Monitor and update adaptive goals based on student progress

    Create materials as needed for learning objectives and behavior programs

    Collaborate with Instructional Support Specialist and Coordinator of Instructional Support (CIS) for the ongoing monitoring of data of behavior programs

    Communicate with direct care staff, Instructional Support Department, and other departments concerning errors in behavior program implementation

    Submit assigned tasks within established timelines to ISS and CIS

    Ensure that required documentation is completed and submitted by staff (data, incident reports, etc.).

    Maintain tracking for physical crisis intervention procedures

    Participate in crisis management procedures, to include, but not limited to: lifting and lowering individuals to and from the floor, standing from kneeling position and dropping to kneeling position while physically controlling an individual, blocking attempted blows and bites, transporting individuals in crisis state, and deflecting blows from thrown objects

    Other duties deemed necessary by CIS to ensure quality care, welfare, safety, and security of students.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related human services field; experience with behavior analysis preferred; experience with supervision of staff preferred; experience in human services; good driving record preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

    Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal standards
