    Who we are:

    The Learning Tree is a nonprofit organization that offers community-based residential programs for children and adolescents, ages 6-21, that have significant behavior challenges. Our instructional model is rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and we believe that learning does not end when you leave the classroom. We work collaboratively within our organization and across our other services (advanced medical services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy) in an effort to provide comprehensive, consistent, high quality services to the individuals and families we serve. Educational services are provided either in our State Certified School Programs or in local public schools. We provide residential services in our home settings that are suited to the unique and special needs of the individuals we serve.

    Who we are looking for:

    We are looking for highly motivated, organized, self-directed individuals to work under the supervision of our BCBAs. We prefer individuals with work experience in the field of Behavior Analysis either as a teacher, behavior technician, therapist, or RBT, and who are interested in moving into a supervised personnel and program management role. The job title for the position available is Instructional Supports Monitor as you will support the implementation of ABA programming in both the educational and residential setting. You may be asked to occasionally work one on one with the individuals we serve, ​however, this is not a direct care position. You will be working collaboratively with other supervisors from Residential, Education, Health Services, and Quality Departments.

    Job responsibilities will include:

    Staff training and feedback,

    Monitoring data collection and program implementation,

    Conducting aspects of a Functional Behavior Assessments and/or skills assessments (i.e., AFLS or ABLLS) under the supervision of a BCBA,

    Completing and presenting case reviews and quarterly reports,

    Participating in weekly department and interdisciplinary team meetings,

    Once trained, crisis management procedures on an as needed basis (we use PCM). Crisis management procedures will include but are not limited to lowering individuals to the floor, standing from kneeling position or lowering to kneeling position while physically controlling an individual, blocking attempted aggression, transporting individuals in crisis, and deflecting blows from objects.

    Occasional weekend or evening work will be required for staff training and/or program monitoring.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related human services field; experience with behavior analysis preferred; experience with supervision of staff preferred; experience in human services; good driving record preferred.
