We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Barista to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities
Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
Demonstrate advanced understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically communicate guest orders
Demonstrate exert proficiency in barista work and all coffee and tea-related subject matter
Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, correct cash handling and gratuity distribution
Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
Core Competencies
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
Strong communication skills
