    JOB OVERVIEW:

    You are all about the guest's overall experience. You understand that the Front Office department is a critical touchpoint in the hotel, and your guest relations skills and natural ability to foster relationships ensures that you are ON it. You will learn each role in the department and assist the Front Office team where needed with the front desk, bell staff, and phone coverage. You are fluid in your communication with other departments, enabling smooth operations. You are an expert in service recovery so that when something goes wrong, you can easily turn it into a positive experience for our guests.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact.

    Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

    Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes adhering to the proper dress code when working.

    Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel

    Perform assigned daily front office functions to ensure courteous, dynamic, and professional guest service levels.

    Have a full knowledge of all aspects of Front Office roles.

    Work a rotating schedule of Front Desk, Bell and Phone Operator, and Night Audit shifts as hotel scheduling needs demand.

    Help resolve guest complaints in a satisfactory manner.

    Execute daily group arrival/departure preparation, special requests, room assignments and guest amenity programs

    Coordinate with all front office staff on daily shift and individual duties.

    Support and comply with hotel policy and company policy in matters concerning accounting, purchasing, credit and cash handling.

    Responsible for inspecting and maintaining front office/lobby appearance while on duty.

    Coordinate transportation and relocation of guests when necessary.

    Various duties and projects as assigned.

    Maintain proper operation of all aspects of our Property Management System.

    Understand all fire/safety procedures and provide necessary assistance to guests and employee in the event of an emergency.

    Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested.

    Perform any other duty or function that may be required- there’s no such thing as “that’s not my job” here.

    KNOWLEDGE, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

    Schedule- Must be available for a flexible schedule including AM, PM and Mid Shifts, and Overnight, Weekends and Holidays.

    Education: High-School Graduate or GED. College education preferred

    Experience:

    One year hotel experience preferred

    Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language.

    Previous customer service, hotel, and/or related experience helpful.

    Skills:

    Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English language.

    Bi/Multi-Lingual a plus

    Excellent organizational skills

    Excellent attention to detail

    Ability to multitask

    Excellent Communication Skills

    Able to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner

    Ability to stand and walk for the duration of your eight-hour shift

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet

    Work well under pressure.

    Requires being a team player.
