The Role You Play:
The Software Developer is responsible for playing an integral role in our IT development team assisting with development of our core proprietary software suite. Core applications include a proprietary CRM / POS solution, as well as many supporting web service and middleware projects used daily by over 215 franchise locations, as well as our public website and e-commerce software with over 500,000 monthly visits.
The Technologies We Use:
The Little Gym is primarily a Microsoft based enterprise with a heavy concentration of proprietary applications. The successful candidate will be proficient in and have working knowledge of:
C#
ASP.NET MVC5 web applications
Entity Framework 6
Javascript
jQuery
Web Service development (WCF/SOA/REST)
SQL Server 2008+ development (including T-SQL, functions, triggers, encryption)
Visual Studio 2013+ and TFS
Additional technical experience that will make you stand out, but are not required include:
Experience with KnockoutJS and Vue
Experience with SASS/CSS
Azure infrastructure
Basic understanding of networking, IIS, and understanding of Windows Security and ASP.NET Identity
Continuous Integration
Unit testing & test projects
Database performance tuning (including statistics, indexes, and experience with SQL Profiler and execution plans)

The Software Developer will utilize a wide variety of technologies, business requirements, and application architecture knowledge sets to transform business requirements and direction into tangible, operable, maintainable, and expandable code. The successful candidate will have the following skills:
Understand and follow OOP fundamentals
Understand and effectively use SoC, MVC & MVVM design patterns
Ability to, on a continuous basis, find an appropriate balance between code efficiency, scalability, maintainability, and bug deterrence relative to business needs
Disciplined about code commenting, testing, exception handling, and following conventions
Innovative and creative and able to work in and create custom design patterns and paradigms according to business needs
Ability to work within, and effectively troubleshoot and debug existing code utilizing Visual Studio local and remote debugging
