    POSITION OVERVIEW

    POSITION TITLE: Financial Specialist

    POSITION DETAILS: Part-time (10-20 Hours per week, more hours during quarterly company challenges). Selected candidate will have the opportunity for more hours and responsibility after the probationary period. Flexible Schedule, 100% Remote. Independent Contractor

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accounts Receivable:

      • Monitor client accounts and incoming payments

      • Respond to and resolve client billing inquiries/issues

      • Track incoming payments in Financial Tracking Spreadsheet

      • Contact clients via phone and email to collect delinquent accounts

      • Create and send invoices and customized payment subscriptions to clients via Paypal and Moonclerk

    • Onboarding:

      • Customize and send team member and client contracts via docusign

      • Follow up on unsigned contracts

    • Accounts Payable:

      • Pay various invoices as needed

      • Purchase client gifts via amazon, etsy, audible etc. as needed

    • Payroll:

      • Review and revise invoices received from contractors monthly

      • Pay approximately 10-50 people monthly depending on company’s schedule

      • Determine appropriate pay rates for contractors based on contract agreements

      • Calculate commission rates as needed

    • Additional:

      • Track employee closing data to determine pay levels

      • Attend weekly meetings as needed

      • Input financial data into tracking spreadsheets to determine event’s success

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experienced using Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail) and Docusign.

    • Ability to work some weekends

    • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience

    • Quickbooks Online Certified, preferred

    • Certified Bookkeeper designation, preferred

    • Proficiency in spreadsheets and software automation (zapier)

    • 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role preferred

    • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

    • Experience with financial statements

    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

    • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced work environment

    • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment

    • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts

    • Comfortable using accounting software. Willing to learn new software as required by the position

    • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

    • Energized by working with fast-moving organizations

    Who we are: The Little Volcano is a rapidly growing Online Transformational Coaching Business and Coach Training School and we are seeking an experienced Financial Specialist to join the team. We have rapidly expanded from a micro-business where the Founders of the company ran almost everything to a small-team based operation with Team Members all over the world. We currently have a team of about 10 people either working for us as coaches, financial support staff, marketing, operations, and other capacities.
